Are waivers required for each member on my team?

Yes! Each member (competitors and volunteers) need to sign the waiver provided by the West Michigan Corporate Challenge. Captain's can turn in their team's waivers at the captain's meeting.

Is there a limit to how many events each person can participate in?

No, individuals can compete in as many events as their team would like. It is the responsibility of the team to ensure schedules do not conflict.

Can families of employees participate in the West Michigan Corporate Challenge?

Spouses can compete in the West Michigan Corporate Challenge. All other family members are invited to the Family Fun Zone, but cannot compete in the West Michigan Corporate Challenge.

Do all the employees need to sign up online?

No, we only need the team captain to sign up the team in our registration system. The captain can use the Competition Handbook team forms to assign employees to each event. We will not monitor which events the individuals sign up for. It is the responsibility of the team captain to ensure that the appropriate number of people are present for each event.

What if we do not have enough participants to compete in all events?

You are not required to have the maximum number of participants to compete in each event, and you are not required to compete in each event. However, you will not have the ability to earn points in events you do not compete in.

How will teams earn points by donating to the event?

Teams can earn points by donating blood (in advance), raising money for the United Way and by bringing non-perishable food and gently-used clothing to the West Michigan Corporate Challenge.

Do we have to have a team uniform?

Each team should have their own team uniform/shirt for September 8. Shirts should be the same color, so our volunteers can easily tell teams apart during competition. You can get enter in the Uniform Contest by emailing a photo of your uniform to info@michigansportsalliance.org by September 4.

Will I need to bring equipment to compete in the West Michigan Corporate Challenge?

All sports equipment needed to compete on September 8 will be provided. Participants must bring their own bike for the cycle tour and golf clubs for the golf scramble.

Do we have to participate in every event?

You will be able to participate in all of the events in the West Michigan Corporate Challenge. However, you will not have the ability to earn points in events you do not compete it.

Our company has individual branches/locations, do we register based on the number of employees at our location or based on the parent company?

If you are registering a team from one location/branch, you can register based on the number of employees that work at that location.
